Unfortunately only the Hindus are allowed in this temple and that too with strict dress codes.
Attukal Bagawati Amman Temple
Situated in the heart of the city the Attukal Bagawati Temple is a Hindu religious shrine dedicated to Bagawati or Badrakali. The goddess is glorified in this temple as the creator, protector and destroyer and is believed to be born from Lord Shiva’s third eye. She is considered as the goddess of Prosperity and Salvation. Pongala festival is celebrated with pomp here for 10 days and on the last day over three million women participate. Ladies visit this temple on all festive occasions.

Karikkakom Sri Chamundi Temple
This temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundi is tucked in coconut groves and plenty of greenery. Unlike other Kerala temples visitors from all faiths are allowed here. During the kings rule this temple was the place for the kings to impart justice. This practice is continued even today but justice is believed to be given by the Goddess Chamundi herself. All major Hindu festivals are celebrated here.
Mukkalkal Sri Varaham Bagawati Temple
This is a popular temple visited mostly by the locals. Legend says that after killing king Pandya of Tamil Nadu the Goddess visited the neighboring state of Kerala with immense anger but when she reached this spot her anger subsided and she stayed there permanently offering her blessings to the people.
